Ready for some epic reads? This book club will look at famous epics, literary classics, and great works across cultures. Tales of adventure, drama, comedy, and humanity - there's a reason these stories are still being read today!
We will meet the final Sunday of each month in Jerry Black's Cafe on the first floor of Mead Public Library:
March 31 - Kafka's The Trial, trans. Willa and Edwin Muir
April 28 - Virgil's Aeneid, trans. Robert Fagles
May 19 - Solzhenitsyn's One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich, trans. H.T. Willetts
Note that we meet one week early in May and that there will be no meetings in summer (June, July, August). Book copies may be picked up at Mead Library's second floor reference desk.
