Computer Crash Course

This hour long, hands-on class covers basic computer skills, focusing on Windows computers.

Target skills include:

• identifying different types of computers
• identifying parts of a computer
• controlling a computer mouse
• identifying common symbols on the computer screen

We will be starting with "the differences between a laptop and desktop" and "how does a mouse work?"

After this class, you should be more comfortable working through computer How-Tos and receiving over-the-phone computer help. Computers will be available for those who don't have their own.

We'll also provide resources for independent practice so you can keep learning on your own.
