Chase away the winter blues and welcome the greens of spring during Mead Library's annual WinterGreen festival.

Cook along at home with Marilyn Montemayor or just feast your eyes.  This Zoom session is also being recorded and will be available on the Mead Library’s YouTube channel on a future date.   City Administrator Todd Wolf will be assisting as Sous-chef.

  • Linguine with Herbs and Lemon Zest, garnished with Cheese Wafers
  • Brown Butter Orzo with Shrimp, Asparagus, and Pea Pods
  • Eton Mess - a traditional English dessert created with strawberries and meringue

*Registration is limited.  You will be emailed the Zoom link on March 19, the day before WinterGreen.

Ingredients needed: pasta of choice, herbs of choice, butter, grated cheese of choice, lemon to zest, salt and pepper, pre-cooked orzo, shrimp, pea pods, asparagus, sliced almonds, chives, strawberries, strawberry jam, whipped cream, and a chocolate bar for shaving chocolate curls

Marilyn Montemayor  is  a local cooking instructor, community advocate, alderman and retired caterer who has volunteered to share her expertise through classes at Mead Public Library, the Sheboygan Senior Activity Center and John Michael Kohler Arts Center.
