Play. Discover. Create. Collaborate.
Join Dare to Dream Theatre Artistic Director Rachel Thuermer in a workshop designed to engage toddlers and their grown ups through creative and dramatic play.
Discoveries during sessions may be used in development of a new theatre experience designed especially for youngsters and their families: Theater for the Very Young.
Recommend for children ages 18 months through 5 years with a caregiver.
Come bring your toddlers to this unique interactive, multi sensory story exploration. Watch as they become fully engaged in the story telling process. Join them as they create and reflect on the stories and characters they meet.
Together we will:
- explore the 5 elements of early literacy
- Jump into the story through a story drama format created by Seattle Children's Theater
- create artwork inspired by the book selected for the month
- meet characters from literature
- explore elements of Theater for the Very Young Experiences currently in development for Dare to Dream Theatre
- begin to explore elements of dramatic presentation and storytelling
- create our own stories together
