Lil' Rev is back with another exciting series of ukulele and harmonica lessons! Check out the summer lineup below. All classes will be streamed live on Mead Public Library's Facebook page which you can reach by clicking the link HERE.
Classes meeting on June 15, July 5, July 6, and August 17 are hybrid in-person and online classes. Space at in-person classes is limited and pre-registration is required. Click on the dates to reach the registration page for in-person classes, or call 920-459-3400, option 4 for help.
June 14: How to Start and End a Song 6:30-7:30pm
June 15: Souping up Folsom Prison Blues 6:30-7:30pm (click the date to access registration page)
June 16: Surf Song Review Night; Learn or review the classic surf songs like Tequila, Tidal Wave, and a bonus mystery tune! 6:30-7:30pm
July 5: Intro to Ukulele for Kids; Learn all about the ukulele, how to strum, 2-chord songs, and how to hold. 2-3pm
July 6: Intro to Harmonica for All Ages; Bring a key of C 10-hole diatonic harmonica or purchase one from Lil' Rev. Learn all the basics in this crash course. 2-3:15pm
July 7: Alternate Tunings for Baritone Ukulele; Live demo and discussion on how to tune the baritone in a variety of ways and why it's so much fun. 6:30-7:30pm
August 16: Ukulele Concert Night; Listen as Lil' Rev talks about the ukulele's humble beginnings in Portugal and Hawaii, as well as Rev's ukulele journey, his books, travels, as well as a variety of cool playing techniques. 7-8pm
August 17: Intro to Slide Ukulele Part 2; A follow-up to Rev's April 26th class. Lil' Rev will help you explore how to use a brass, bottle, or ceramic slide on the ukulele, as well as how to tune it and a few simple songs & excersizes to perfect the style with. 6:30-7:30pm
August 18: Learn to Play Sitting on Top of the World; An all-time blues and bluegrass classic, this song is a study in old-time coolness on the ukulele. We'll look at progression, a simple solo, tremolo use, triplets, and more! 6:30-7:30pm
