Darryl Ottman of The Sewing Machine Shop will teach registrants how to adjust tension on their sewing machines. Bring your own sewing machine!
Don't let the tension of sewing add more tension to your life. Sewing should be fun and can be if you learn how to handle the tension of your sewing machine thread.
Learn how to identify and correct tension, adjust for ripples, loops, puckers, and just loose thread with hands on demonstrations.
Presenter Darryl Ottman has a background in fine tolerances and precision equipment, having worked for Will Pemco of Sheboygan as a machinist and later as the head of the precision tool calibration department. He also managed the field service department at Fox Valley Metrology in Oshkosh. Ottman and his family were seeking a change when he purchased the Sewing Machine Shop in Sheboygan Falls 13 years ago, where he's continued moving this successful business forward and has built a reputation as one of the top service stores in the state.
Preregistration is required. Bring your own sewing machine (no sergers, please), thread, bobbin and eye glasses size screwdrivers. Open to teens and adults.
