Natural Perfumes & Colognes

Create your own customized perfumes and colognes!  Essential oils are often described by their "note" and have been classified according to the musical scale.  A perfect combination of notes will produce a harmonized blend.  This class will introduce you to the odophones, top notes, middle notes, base notes, olfactive families, the fragrance wheel, perfume blending and creation, and other basic perfumery concepts.  Students will experience the different essential oil notes and olfactive families and will then create their own unique perfume or cologne blend of 100% pure essential oils to take home with them.  For adults - 18+; space limited; registration required.

Led by Christina Wilke-Burbach, PhD, RMT, CA.  Christina is an educator, consultant, spiritual counselor and holistic healing facilitator.  She is a certified Aromatherapist, Herbalist and Master Gardener.  She works for the UW-Extension Horticulture Hotline, is the chair of the Indoor Garden at John Michael Kohler Arts Center, and is a supporter of organic farming and non-GMOs.
