Purpose of Meeting

Join us for a collaborative community event focused on exploring the dynamics of stalking. The premiere of "Baby Reindeer" on Netflix in April of 2024 caused a sensation, as millions binge-watched as the main character Donny navigates his life after Martha obsessively targets and stalks him. "Baby Reindeer" highlights stalking and stalking behaviors, showing that this is a multi-gendered issue and one that needs to be discussed in a safe space. Our panel will include Dr. Valerie Murrenus Pilmaier, co-chair of Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies at UW-Green Bay, a law enforcement official, UW-Green Bay's Title IX and Sexual Assault Victims Coordinator, a student, and Jeremy, a Safe Harbor Victim Advocate. These panelists were specifically selected in order to provide an intersectional multi-disciplinary approach to discussing systemic, pragmatic and current issues related to stalking.
