Temari is a craft from ancient Japan. Today the lovely thread-wrapped embroidered balls are given as tokens of good luck. Fiber artist Mary Dalhaimer will present the basics of making a Temari ball: how to wrap a basic ball, divide the ball into symetrical sections, and embroider the ball with basic stitches. No prior experience is required; all materials will be supplied. Free program for teens and adults. Space is limited. Call 459-3400, ext. 3422 to register.
