Join our Animal Scientist-in-Residence Heather Pekrul-Gulig from the Lakeshore Avian and Reptile Rescue and Sanctuary for presentations, visits with rescue animals, experiments and maker projects this fall. 

Meet Weazy, the LARRS educational Red Eared Slider, and learn all about aquatic turtles’ native and non-native regions, wild populations, life expectancy, size, species of turtles in the pet trade, physiology, illnesses, diet, and captive keeping.

This residency is funded by a MilliporeSigma science grant.
