April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, but just being aware is not enough. Actively educate yourself and your family at the Mead Public Library for a three part discussion series: Consent in the #MeToo Era. Learn how to talk to your children about consent, sex, and other important subject areas that can be tricky for parents to navigate.

April 8: Join Natalie from Safe Harbor as she leads a discussion on how to talk to your children about sex and consent. This is a discussion meant for parents of children K-12th grade. 18+ only please.*

April 15th: Natalie returns to continue and deepen the discussion about consent. Parents and their teenage children are encouraged to come together for a frank and informative discourse on how to talk to your teen about sex, consent, sexting, and sex positivity in a constructive way. This talk is meant for ages 12 and up.*

April 22nd: The concluding discussion in our Consent in the #MeToo Era will feature a panel of people within our community that are impacted by these topics. Experts will include educators, students, law enforcement, and local officials. Ages 12 and up are welcome to this discussion.*

*Content warning: These discussion will be addressing human sexuality, and sexual assault. Please be aware of the sensitive nature of these discussions.
