Purpose of Meeting

To offer an enlightening presentation that delves into critical aspects of Interpersonal Violence (IPV) and the support systems available for college students with the target audience being both students and guardians. We will start with personal and organizational introductions, providing an overview of the team dedicated to addressing these vital issues. The presentation will define Interpersonal Violence, shedding light on its various forms and impact. We'll discuss "The Red Zone," a period of heightened vulnerability for college students, supported by compelling statistics and facts about IPV in higher education. The concept of Bystander Intervention will be introduced, empowering you with practical strategies to intervene safely and effectively in potentially harmful situations. Finally, we will explain Title IX and how it serves as a crucial resource for students who choose to report incidents of IPV to their institutions. This presentation is designed to inform, engage, and equip you with the knowledge to make a difference.
