Program Description

Event Details

Food is an important gateway to begin to experience and understand other cultures. Through this series, participants will cook, eat, and discuss food from another culture while working to gain a deeper understanding of the selected culture. Recipe copies and additional readings will be available for pickup at Mead. This winter's featured Book: Parwana by Durkhanai Ayubi. The program will be hosted on Zoom. Registration is required.

The recipes for December 2021 will be:

  1. Sabzi (Spinach & Lamb Curry)
  2. Maasteh Khanagi ( Homemade Yogurt)
  3. Torshi Bemasalah (Pickled Vegetables)
  4. Kolche Nowrozi (Cookies)
     

Copies of the recipes will be available at the 2nd Floor Reference Desk beginning Monday, November 29. Goodside Grocery will be stocking specialty ingredients. To check availability, call (920) 694-0053.
