Storytime at Home Kits

Get Started

Our Storytime at Home kits feature everything needed to practice the critical early literacy activities of reading, talking, singing, writing, and playing! All kits are available for browsing and checkout at the library and can be reserved in advance using the links below.

Baby & Me Storytime at Home

These kits are designed for babies ages newborn to 24 months and feature videos of Mead staff leading corresponding rhymes and songs.

Each themed kit includes:

  • 3 board books
  • words for songs and rhymes
  • shaker egg or rhythm scarf for hands-on-activities 
  • early-literacy tips for grownups
  • videos of Mead staff leading a selection of the songs and rhymes

2-Year-Old Take-Home Storytime

The kits are recommended for ages 2 and up.

Each themed kit includes:

  • 3 books
  • flannelgraph
  • music CD
  • musical instrument
  • fingerplay sheet
