Temporary Changes to Outdoor Book Drop & 24/7 Holds Pickup

The outdoor book returns will closed for about 2 weeks starting Wednesday, Nov. 5, due to roof work at the library. In the meantime, please use the temporary outdoor book drop, which is set up along the walkway leading to the building.*

The 24/7 Holds Pickup will remain open but users will have to park in the lot and walk to the pickup kiosk.

*Please note that the temporary book drop will be unavailable from 5 p.m. on Saturday until 9 a.m., Monday.

Join us first Mondays at 8th Street Ale Haus for a Mead librarian-led night of trivia. Teams of up to six compete to see who can score the most points over three rounds of questions for a chance to win fabulous prizes. Smartphones are not allowed.  Increase your chance of success by visiting Mead the week leading up to trivia to access the free answer by checking out a library item. Then, just match the answer to the correct question the night of trivia. 

First place is a $20 8th Street Ale Haus gift certificate and the right to lord it over everybody for a week. Second place is a six pack of delicious beer. 

Another thing distinguishing Li-Brewery Trivia Takeover at 8th Street Ale Haus is that 5% of all sales during trivia will go to the Mead Public Library Foundation. Everyone wins! Trivia! Beer! Cheese curds! Libraries!
